PURPOSE: The OSJ sponsorship will provide funding for the planning and development of a social services street fair targeting underserved and/or marginalized individuals and families. The Justice Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Expansion Project (JEDI X-P) will be planned for late summer/early fall. This event will combine access to information, engagement with a variety of service providers, and engaging family-centered activities, throughout the DEI “edutainment” event. The Café will partner with a full spectrum of social services organizations, healthcare, transportation, legal services, education, neighborhood businesses, training, community leaders, and cultural organizations.
Funds will be used to pay for event planning, supplies and materials.
BACKGROUND: The Office of Social Justice has been directed to provide sponsorship funding to organizations within Snohomish County in support of diversity, equity and inclusion.
