PURPOSE: To authorize funding agreement with Eastrail Partners
BACKGROUND: The Eastside Rail Corridor Regional Advisory Council (RAC) was created in December 2012, in 2017 the membership of the RAC was expanded by consensus to include Snohomish County. On July 12, 2019 RAC reached consensus supporting the timely formation of the EP entity as the entity to address the need identified in the RAC’s recommendation that RAC members provide financial support. The jurisdictions of King County, Snohomish County, Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond, Renton, and Woodinville, Puget Sound Energy, and Sound Transit wish to promote public and corporate support for the development of the corridor. The contributions made in this agreement to Eastrail Partners will be for the creation and implementation of community-informed and co-lead Eastrail planning and programming. Snohomish County’s portion is $30,741.93.
