PURPOSE: The proposed ordinance approves and authorizes the County Executive to execute an interlocal agreement with the city of Lake Stevens for surface water billing services.
BACKGROUND: The city of Lake Stevens and Snohomish County are parties to an interlocal agreement for surface water billing services that is set to expire December 31, 2026.
The City wishes to continue contracting with the County for pass through billing services for their surface water charges.
The County is willing to continue to provide billing services for the City under a new interlocal agreement. All costs to provide the billing services will be billed to the city annually.
