PURPOSE: To provide the Stanwood-Camano School District #401 a deputy to serve as a School Resource Officer (SRO).
BACKGROUND: The Stanwood-Camano School District #401 wishes to renew and continue its agreement with the County to provide an SRO. The Stanwood-Camano School District #401 has agreed to compensate the County for SRO services for the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 school years. The cost will be shared by the school district (75%) and the County (25%) because the assigned deputy sheriff is reassigned to other duties in the Sheriff’s Office during the summer months when school is not in session.
