PURPOSE: To approve the Data Sharing Agreement between the Washington State Office of Independent Investigations and Snohomish County.
BACKGROUND: The Office of Independent Investigations is a limited authority Washington law enforcement agency authorized to investigate law enforcement use of deadly force. RCW 43.102.080 requires an involved law enforcement agency to provide records relating to an investigation to OII. This agreement allows Snohomish County to share confidential information with OII for its authorized activities.
