PURPOSE: Per RFI #015, the apex jam located near the outlet of the wall-based channel is deleted and replaced with the smaller structures
BACKGROUND: The contract required the installation of an apex jam on the north side of the side channel outlet. Initial pile driving and pull testing of those piles determined that the design depths and pull-out strengths were not attainable in this location. Our design consultant determined that moving the structure wasn’t feasible and smaller structures could be placed in the original location in place of the apex jam.
