PURPOSE: Director to approving contract with Cascade Natural Gas for the Low-Income Incentive Program in the amount of $75,000.
BACKGROUND: The outcome of this program is to provide funding for low-income residences in Snohomish County to allow fuel switching from a gas furnace to an energy efficient electric furnace. Cascade Natural gas is providing $75,000 for the Weatherization team to treat 6 qualifying homes in the 2026 fiscal year beginning June 15, 2026. This is part of the OES Grant work plan and allows for the Director of DCNR to sign this contract.
