PURPOSE: The Office of Social Justice has been directed to provide funding to organizations within Snohomish County in support of diversity, equity and inclusion.
BACKGROUND: Investment funding is being allocated to SCS for their Sherwood Outreach and Training Initiative. SCS will be providing resources for children and adults with disabilities. They will conduct outreach to underserved communities by hiring a consultant to work with their IDEA Committee which provides awareness, culturally relevant training, recruitment and strategies to staff at their All Staff Retreat in October 2026.
