PURPOSE: To supplement personnel to the Snohomish Regional Drug Task Force with one (1) Washington State Department of Corrections NW Community Response Unit Officer Specialist.
BACKGROUND: Snohomish County has been a participating jurisdiction in the Snohomish Regional Drug Task Force (SRDTF) since its inception in 1988. The SRDTF has entered into an agreement with the State of Washington Department of Corrections (DOC) to assign one DOC Specialist to the multi-agency investigative task force for the period of October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2027. Under the terms of the agreement, the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office will reimburse the DOC for actual overtime costs incurred by the assigned DOC Specialist, up to a maximum of $22,000 per federal fiscal year (October 1 through September 30). The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office requests Executive approval to reimburse the State of Washington Department of Corrections for overtime costs associated with the DOC Specialist's participation in the Snohomish Regional Drug Task Force, in accordance with the terms of the interagency agreement.
