PURPOSE: To obtain the Executive's signature on a grant application for amendment to a grant contract with the Washington State Department of Commerce for the SFY 2026 Victim Witness DV Specific Grant. The amendment adds funds and extends contract term.
BACKGROUND: The Office of Crime Victims Advocacy (OCVA) in the Washington State Department of Commerce (DOC) has awarded the Prosecuting Attorney's Office (PAO) a $50,000.00 amendment to PAO's existing grant (#S26-31115-022) for advocacy services provided on behalf of DV clients. The current term of the grant is February 1, 2026, through June 30, 2026, and has an award benefit of $41,317.00. In addition to adding $50,000.00 to the grant, the amendment extends the existing June 30, 2026, contract end date to June 30, 2027. OCVA will accept contract approval only via DocuSign. It is unclear if the amendment will prompt a new Executive signature. The purpose of this ECAF is for Executive signature on the grant amendment application and to establish a formal record of approval through Legistar.

DEPARTMENT FISCAL IMPACT NOTES: Positive impact. These additional funds in Fund 118 will help to minimize the need to JV Fund 118 expenses to the GF in 2026, should Fund 118 revenues diminish or fall short of projections.
