EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION: Click or tap here to enter LEGISLATION TITLE.

PURPOSE: To obtain the Executive's signature on a new grant contract with the Washington State Department of Commerce for the SFY 2026 Victim Witness DV Specific Grant.

BACKGROUND: The Office of Crime Victims Advocacy (OCVA) in the Washington State Department of Commerce (DOC) has awarded the Prosecuting Attorney's Office (PAO) a $41,317.00 grant (#S26-31115-022) for advocacy services provided on behalf of DV clients. The term of the grant is February 1, 2026, through June 30, 2026. This grant is a supplemental grant to our current SFY 2026 Victim Witness Assistance Grant (#S26-31101-022) from OCVA, for $69,029, with a term of 7/1/2025 through 6/30/2026. OCVA will accept contract approval only via DocuSign. Owing to scheduling conflicts, the Executive did not receive the grant agreement until this week, and promptly gave approval via DocuSign after discussing the situation with the PAO. The purpose of this ECAF, therefore, is to establish a formal record of approval through Legistar.
