PURPOSE: Approval of grant application for Stillaguamish Casino Impact Mitigation Funds
BACKGROUND: Each year, the Stillaguamish Tribe of Indians offers grant funding opportunities to government agencies that have been financially impacted by the operations of Angel of the Winds Casino. The Snohomish Regional Drug Task Force (SRDTF) intends to apply for grant funding in the amount of $16,000.
The funds requested will support the cost of a data server contract with Skagit County, as well as software licensing with Gladiator Forensics. Implementation of this technology will enhance SRDTF detectives’ capabilities by enabling live Pen Register/Trap and Trace (PRTT) monitoring and centralized geolocation data analysis.
Investing in modern tools and technology is essential to strengthening investigative effectiveness, maintaining public safety, and reducing drug-related criminal activity.
