PURPOSE: A change order to allow the contractor, U.S. Imaging, Inc., the option of indexing historical documents outside of the Landmark recording system.
BACKGROUND: The professional services agreement between Snohomish County and U.S. Imaging, Inc. provides for the scanning, enhancement, importing, and indexing of historical documents dating from 1860s to 1976, into the Landmark recording system to improve public access to these documents. The contractor has requested the option to perform the indexing work outside of the Landmark recording system. This change will allow for a more efficient indexing process. The Contractor agrees to assume all unknown costs associated with performing indexing outside the recording system and importing the indexing data into the Landmark recording system.
