PURPOSE: Acknowledgement of Electronic Signatures for Annual Online Report
BACKGROUND: When asset seizures are initiated on a case of sufficient size to be adopted and prosecuted by the United States Department of Justice or the United States Department of the Treasury, the local agency that developed the case is generally eligible to request a portion of the forfeited asset proceeds through an Equitable Sharing Request Form (DAG-71).
Pursuant to the Federal Equitable Sharing Agreement and the established conditions governing the expenditure of distributed funds, the U.S. Department of Justice or Treasury transfers the approved equitable share to the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office.
The Federal Annual Certification Report is submitted electronically through the designated online portal, and all required signatures are completed electronically at the time of submission.
This ECAF is submitted to obtain approval and authorization to file the report on behalf of the Agency Head and the Governing Body Head. The attached report certifies that federal asset sharing funds in the amount of $53,201.23 were received during FY2025 from the United States Department of Justice. The report further certifies that all shared funds expended were used for allowable expenditures in compliance with applicable federal guidelines.
