PURPOSE: To obtain Executive approval of JOC Contract JC-25-0649-F
BACKGROUND: The piping serving the boiler in the Mission Building are over 50 years old. Exposed portions of the piping are showing rust on the outside of the pipes. The pipes have exceeded their expected useful life. The pipes need to be replaced prior to loss of structural integrity to avoid costly emergency repairs, damage to other portions of the building, and potential shut-down of the building due to lack of heat and air conditioning. This project is over 600 single trade hours and has apprentice utilization requirements.
