PURPOSE: To obtain the Executive’s approval of the County’s EEOP Certification form required under the STOP Grant Program.
BACKGROUND: The STOP Grant is an annual formula-based grant awarded to the Prosecuting Attorney by the Washington State Department of Commerce. The DOC receives federal grant funds from the US Department of Justice and allocates those resouces among Washington State counties. The DOC has requested our certification that the county’s Equal Employment Opportunity Plan (EEOP) complies with federal regulations. The Snohomish County Council approved the County’s most recent EEOP on January 21, 2026. The Executive has signature authority regarding grant documents per SCC 2.10.010(24). After the Executive approves the EEOP Certification in Legistar, the PAO will request the Executive’s signature via DocuSign, per the DOC’s request.
