PURPOSE: To obtain Executive approval of Change Order 24 to Lincoln Construction, Inc.
BACKGROUND: The County and Lincoln Construction Inc. (LCi) entered into an agreement on December 19th, 2024, for the construction phase of the New Start Center of Edmonds. The City of Edmonds required the improvements to include Electrical Vehicle charging stations for 15 devices ready to use without future updates to the electrical system of the building. The existing service to the building is sufficient for the current uses; however, the existing services would not be able to support the future EV charging stations. Thus, the electrical services to the building must be increased. This Change Order allows for the Contractor to provide the portions of the electrical upgrades which are not installed by SnoPUD. The construction costs from SnoPUD are a separate issue.
