EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION: Approved
PURPOSE: Surface Water Management is conducting a geotechnical survey by boring to collect soil samples to be evaluated by the County Geologist and taken to SWM lab for further index testing. Results of this instigation will support foundation recommendations for the proposed driveway culvert. The exploration location has been marked in the field and a public utility locate request has been submitted (ticket# 25420973). So far, PSE & SnoPUD have all reported ‘Clear, No Utility Owned Facility in Excavation Area’
BACKGROUND: Surface Water Management (SWM) is building a culvert on S. Machias Road adjacent to the Parks’ custodial property described as CT Trail equestrian portion. It may require an expansion of the culvert which will impact the trail and the Geotech survey will provide the information needed to determine the next steps.
