PURPOSE: To obtain the Executive’s signature on a Cooperative Purchasing Agreement for PB-24-0372LY
BACKGROUND: On September 24, 2025, Council approved Piggyback Award Recommendation for the use of a “piggyback” for competitive RFP 00624, issued and awarded by the Office of Washington State Department of Enterprise Services (DES) for Security Guard Services for an estimated total amount of $500,000.00 over four (4) years. The initial contract term is through July 1, 2027, with an ultimate expiration date in 2029. This Award Recommendation authorized the County Executive to execute an agreement with Security of America, LLC for Unarmed Security Guards and related services available through RFP 00624. This is a framework developed by Purchasing to allow various County departments (Auditor Elections, Fair and Facilities) to utilize this contract within existing appropriation authority.
