PURPOSE: Executive Approval of Agreement for Temporary Use of Boise Police Shooting Range
BACKGROUND: The Sheriff’s Office Snohomish Regional Drug Task Force (SRDTF) is tasked with targeting drug trafficking organizations involved in drug activity in an effort to reduce drug availability and trafficking in Washington State and Snohomish County. SRDTF detectives are required to attend annual tactical training. Techniques and practices executed during this training are essential to Task Force personnels safety while performing their operational duties. In years past the Oregon Military Installation Camp Rilea was used for the annual tactical training. Due to increase facility cost and available the September 2025 annual tactical training is being move to Meridian, Idaho. Boise City/Boise Police Department is allowing the SRDTF use of the Boise Police Firing Range at no cost to SRDTF. The SRDTF has prearranged to use the facility on September 24th, 2025. At this time the Sheriff is requesting Executive approval of the agreement.
