PURPOSE: To grant permission for WDFW to conduct a topographic survey for the Spencer Island Estuary Restoration Project
BACKGROUND: WDFW is leading the Estuary Restoration Project on Spencer Island that includes the southern portion of the island owned by Snohomish County. Snohomish County is a collaborative partner for the Spencer Island Estuary Restoration Project, which is NTA 2018-0541. Snohomish County and WDFW have coordinated on this project and WDFW has secured $10M of funding from United States Corp of Engineers for this effort and the County is committed to continue this collaboration. There was a large abandoned dilapidated barge that has been recently removed by WDFW. WDFW is now in the process of conducting surveys to develop a topographic survey map of the restoration areas.
