PURPOSE: To obtain Executive approval of Change Order 16 to Lincoln Construction, Inc.
BACKGROUND: The County and Lincoln Construction Inc. (LCi) entered into an agreement on December 19th, 2024, for the construction phase of the New Start Center of Edmonds. Demolition has continued as needed to allow the removal of the damaged fire suppression system piping and to allow for installation of the new piping. Work will be performed on a time and materials basis with the LCi confirming and providing the timesheets and receipts from the subcontractor. Existing electrical outlets are located within some of the exterior walls that have been damaged over time and are being rebuilt. RCWs required the removal and reinstallation of the electrical items to be performed by a licensed electrician. The cost of the electrical work has been negotiated down from an initial ask of $76,980.67 (prior to the General Contract's mark-ups) to $18,206.00.
