PURPOSE: To correct the pricing for indigent burials. Indigent burials happen 0-3 times per year, generally due to religious opposition to cremation.
BACKGROUND: Snohomish County must provide dignified disposition for individuals who didn’t make prearrangements and whose next-of-kin refuses or is unable to provide burial or cremation.
