EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION: Approve
PURPOSE: These funds will focus on the ongoing development of targeted skills-based trainings related to key needs in the community that the Promotoras will help address by connected families will needed resources, referrals, and program recommendations so that Take the Next Step (TTNS) is more responsive and aware. Expenses will go toward TTNS staff costs to train and deliver targeted skills development, materials, food, and supplies costs for trainings, as well as childcare. Curriculum development for continued program growth and materials creation to support the Promotoras in their documentation and assessments will also be included. Continued one on one support of each promotora to learn more about what they are seeing and hearing from the families, how we can adapt and change, and support any additional needs. Finally, any administrative costs associated to support TTNS staff and Promotoras as they further develop the program.
BACKGROUND: The Office of Social Justice has been directed to provide community investment funding to BIPOC non-profit organizations operating within Snohomish County.
