EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION: Approved
PURPOSE: To obtain Executive approval of Change Order 07 to Marpac Construction.
BACKGROUND: The County and Marpac Construction entered into an agreement on December 18th, 2024, for the construction phase of the New Start Center of Everett. Several changes to the documents occurred between the Bid Set and the Permit set. The physical size of the electrical gear was revised for larger cabinets. As a result, the gear no longer fits within the existing electrical cabinet. This change relocates the gear into another utility room. The room layouts for meeting spaces were changed around. Thus, additional countertops are required. The city is requiring better fencing than chain link, to face the mall. Wrought iron is acceptable to the city and the next least expensive fencing available. The associated change order proposals have been negotiated down from $119,422.27.
