PURPOSE: Architectural and Engineering Services for Paine Field SAF R&D Center.
BACKGROUND: Snohomish County is establishing a world-leading Sustainable Aviation Fuels Research and Development Center at Paine Field Airport. Snohomish County has received a $6.5 million grant from the State of Washington through the Department of Transportation for the development of an applied sustainable aviation fuel research and development (SAF R&D) center. The SAF R&D Center will have a significant impact on the climate economy locally and worldwide and could create widespread investment and jobs in our region. This Agreement is the product of County RFQ No. 24-010BC.
