EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION: Approved
PURPOSE: Approve Amendment No. 6 of consolidated contract with Washington State Department of Health. Amended Ordinance 24-114, approved on January 29, 2025, provided authority for County Executive, or designee, to execute all subsequent amendments to the consolidated contract. This funding allows the Health Department to continue providing core public health services.
BACKGROUND: The Health Department receives the majority of its grant funding through a consolidated contract with the Washington State Department of Health. This funding is used for many different public health services including maternal and child health block grant, recreational shellfish activities, tuberculosis control, and many more. The Health Department anticipates future amendments to the consolidated contract to add new programmatic work and further adjust the activities and deliverables for existing programmatic work.
