EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION: Approved by Ken Klein 3/14/23
PURPOSE: Approval of the Council Grant Agreement between the County and the City of Monroe for the replacement of play equipment on parcel number 00707200099900 in Monroe, WA 98272, which is in a qualified census track. The amount of the agreement is $100,000.
BACKGROUND: On February 23, 2022, the County Council adopted Ordinance 22-001 relating to the 2022 Budget making a supplemental appropriation in General Fund 002 to provide expenditure authority for unanticipated funds. Ordinance 22-001, the Council appropriated $5,000,000 for “Council Projects” and the COVID-19 pandemic emphasized the social disparities for minorities and those living in qualifies census tracks (QCT).
